Homemade Frozen Food & Wasting time in front of the grill

I’ve skimmed the following articles:

Make your own pre-cooked frozen dinners

Create Your Own Frozen Dinners

Anyone who has had to cook for an entire household M-F understands the beauty of pre-cooking and freezing meals.  I’m not going to make the leap to vacuum sealing food since I don’t keep the food frozen for more than one week but I think the health benefits of pre-cooking is in portioning out the food to prevent overeating.  I feel like a cryogenics technician as I wrap up each piece of meat with foil and lower it into tupperware.

Since I’m a bit bored of curry soups I’ve been back to grilling salmon and chicken.

I’ve gotten the hang of throwing the meat on the grill once the temp is above 450 degrees and flipping everything over at the right time.  So to kill 20-40 mins at the grill I kill time by:

1) rescuing bumble bees trapped on the surface of the swimming pool

So far I’ve saved 10 and lost 1.

2) replying to text messages

3) listening to Thai folk music

Flayed salmon flavored with salt and pepper.  Be sure to oil the grill first.

Our stomachs really are a charnel house.
